Newly discovered writer

friends,

As a practice post, the following.  I recently discovered an interesting writer, Borges, that I wanted to share.  His writing seems to be creative and on topics I like, e.g., mathematics, mysticism.  Perhaps others have also made this discovery and have comments, etc.  A blurb from his website is shown below.

History

Since we have now formalized the existence of this group known as "The Tuesday Group," by starting a blog, it seems a brief history is in order.

When I retired six years ago this Thanksgiving I let it be known that I would be at La Bou on the Monday after each now moon. Thus started the "Lunar Lunch." In time a request was made to meet more often than once a Moon. Soon we were meeting once a week. One of the group had other commitments on Monday and requested a move to Tuesday. In time, newcomers were referring to us as "The Tuesday Group."

I miss the "Lunar Lunch." Upon retirement I tried adopting myself to a lunar calender. But in a society embedded in a solar calender it is difficult to follow a lunar calender without isolating oneself from the greater society.

thanking + questions

friends,

I especially am thanking you, Al, for bringing this experiment from the idea-in-mental-space stage to the action-in-physical-space stage [forgive my unconventional way of speaking]!!!

One comment:  I'm experiencing some hesitation when I contemplate the assumed difference between blog postings and the usual pseudo-list-serve postings that we have been doing for some time, namely, anyone can view our "precious" blog postings while only we can view our pseudo-list-serve postings.

Any recommendations for how to decide where to post?

blog hugs, e.b.
